Sound the alarm....Harrison is 3!
He has been so excited about his birthday because we were having his party at the fire station. Every day he told me it was his birthday and every day I would have to tell him how many more days until his party. Technically, we weren't supposed to have his actual party there because of the ever-present threat of an emergency call. We were just scheduled for a birthday tour. However, the room we reserved at the church across the street fell through literally at the last second and we were stuck with no place to have cake and ice cream. Thank goodness we have an awesome fire department (Station 9, shift B) that allowed us to go ahead and have Harrison's party at the station in their break/living room/kitchen. This party was a dream come true for Harrison. All of the kids had a blast.
This shirt was a birthday gift from one of Harrison's friends.
The firefighters let Harrison be the leader in everything they did.
Right after all the kids toured the ambulance, it had to leave on an emergency. The kids loved watching it go with the lights and siren on.
I'm not sure why Harrison smiles like this but it's his signature look now.
All the kids that came to the party.
I LOVE how his cake turned out!
The bottom one is actually two dozen cupcakes.
He had a little bit of trouble blowing out the candles. I thought it was pretty cute.
Then it was time for presents.
It was fun to watch the other kids get excited when each gift was opened.
The grand finale was letting the kids squirt the water hose.
Earlier in the week a little friend from playgroup gave Harrison his birthday present.
Doesn't he look happy! She gave him a Mater.
What a great birthday for a great 3 year old!!
It sure has been a fast three years!
