Christmas is the time of year when the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. It will also forever be the season when we celebrate our miracle birth. Every day since Harrison was born, it has felt like Christmas to us. There could be no greater gift to buy or to give and no better gift under the tree (although we did try to take his picture under the tree but he wasn't having it). This really is the season of miracles. It seems strange not to be praying for a child to come to our family anymore after so many years of doing so. Some days it feels more like Thanksgiving than Christmas because our prayers have turned to gratitude for Harrison, for our family and for his wonderful birth family.
Harrison's first Christmas started by going to church for the first time. He was the star of the show! Everyone wanted to see him and congratulate us. Jeff held him the whole time to keep everyone at arms length as to not spread any germs. I wanted to get a picture of us all dressed up in our Christmas outfits but Harrison had a diaper disaster which forced us to change him as soon as we got home. Here's what he looked like the rest of the day:
I think this next pictures sums it up. We are so happy and, well, merry!
